Ratsit, MrKoll, Merinfo and Hitta: your address and income online
NetClearer helps people in Sweden take their address, age, phone and income off people-search sites. You do the BankID hiding steps yourself with our guide; we send GDPR requests to the sites without self-service, follow up and ask Google to delist what remains. €29 incl. VAT per site. We remind you when a hiding period ends.

Why your data is there
Swedish public records are open. People-search sites read the population register and other public sources and build a page for almost every adult: name, age, address, sometimes phone number and income. Ratsit, Merinfo, Hitta, Eniro, MrKoll and Birthday.se all work this way, and most hold a publishing certificate (*utgivningsbevis*), which puts them under press freedom law.
For most people this is an annoyance. For people with threats against them, for police officers, prison staff, judges, journalists or anyone leaving an abusive partner, it is a safety problem.
Self-service: what each site offers
| Site | What you can do | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Ratsit | Hide your page after logging in with BankID | 12 months, then renew |
| Merinfo | Remove your profile after logging in with BankID | Until the site rebuilds it from new data |
| MrKoll | Hide your street address, or ask for deletion with a GDPR template | Address hidden 30 days; deletion on request |
| Hitta, Eniro | Hiding or change options exist; routes not verified by us | Check after each change |

Who does what
BankID proves who you are. Nobody else may log in with yours, and we never ask for it. You do the BankID step on each site; we tell you exactly how and handle the rest. The rest means: the GDPR erasure or objection letters to sites without self-service, follow-up when an answer is late, a check that the pages are really hidden, Google delisting for copies and cached pages, and reminders when the 12 months on Ratsit are nearly over.
- We search your name, list every site and page, and send you a short guide in English (Swedish on request) with the links to each self-service page.
- You sign a mandate and send ID. The same day you order, we file GDPR requests with the sites that work by form or email, under art. 17 and 21.
- After your BankID steps, we check each site and ask Google to delist what is still visible for your name.
- On a monthly or annual plan, we check again and remind you before a hiding period ends.
The EU ruling and what it may change
On 9 July 2026 the EU Court said, in case C-199/24, that a publishing certificate does not by itself take a service outside the GDPR (IMY). The case concerned a site that publishes judgments, but the reasoning may also matter for sites that publish addresses and incomes. It is a new right, being tested: sites may still refuse, and IMY had not published its position on people-search sites after the ruling when we wrote this page. Criminal judgments have their own page: Lexbase and Krimfup. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
Price
€29 incl. VAT per site, €199 incl. VAT for 10. A yearly plan suits people who need to stay hidden: see prices. Payment in kronor is shown by Stripe when available; Swish is not offered. No refund once your request has been filed.
Frequently asked questions
Is hiding on Ratsit enough?
Usually not. Ratsit is one of several sites, and the others build their own pages from the same public data. Hiding on Ratsit also lasts 12 months only. To stay out of searches, you need to act on each site and renew the steps. We list the sites and keep track of the dates.
Can you stop my data from being in public records?
No. Public records in Sweden follow their own laws. If you are under threat, contact the police and ask the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) about protecting your registered details. Once the source is protected, people-search sites have less to copy, and we handle what is already online.
Why do you need my ID if I do the BankID step?
For the sites we contact by form or email, and for Google. They need to know that the request comes from you. We send a copy of your ID with the mandate, masking what the site does not need, and we never use it for anything else.
My income appears on these sites. Can that be removed?
Income data in Sweden comes from public tax records. Hiding your page on a site usually hides the income too. A GDPR request to a site may also cover it. The tax record itself stays public, and we do not file against the Tax Agency.
