Facebook posts, groups and fake profiles about you

NetClearer reports Facebook content about you to Meta: posts in local groups, fake profiles using your photos, private data, intimate images and harassment. We cite Meta’s Community Standards and, for content that appears illegal, file a Digital Services Act notice. Then we ask Google to delist what stays. €29 incl. VAT per link. Meta decides.

Where Facebook still matters

Facebook is shrinking in some countries: in the Netherlands it lost about one million users in a year and now reaches 40.8% of the population. In Poland it still reaches 49% and its chat app 41% (DataReportal). Local groups (a town, a school, a street, a profession) are where rumours spread fastest. A post that names a doctor, a builder or a neighbour can be shared hundreds of times before anyone checks the facts.

What Meta’s rules cover

  • Privacy: your home address, phone number, ID documents or health data posted without consent.
  • Impersonation: a profile or page that uses your name and photos and pretends to be you or your business.
  • Bullying and harassment of private people, including posts that call for others to target you.
  • Intimate images shared without consent, and threats to share them. Links only; never send us the images.
  • Hate speech and threats.

Meta does not take down posts because they are unfair or rude. Criticism of a business, even harsh, usually stays. For a fake review on a Facebook page, the same rules as on Google apply: see review removal.

Our steps on Facebook

  1. You send the links: each post, comment, photo or profile, not just the group. Screenshots help if the group is private.
  2. You sign a mandate and send ID. For impersonation, Meta compares your ID with the fake profile.
  3. We file through Meta’s forms: privacy, impersonation, intimate images, or the EU form for content that appears illegal under DSA article 16.
  4. If Meta refuses, we use the review or appeal option it offers, then the DSA internal complaint.
  5. For public posts, we ask Google to delist them from searches for your name.

Meta’s EU base is in Ireland, so the Irish Data Protection Commission is its lead data protection authority. If a GDPR complaint is needed, we prepare it; you sign and send it. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

Price

€29 incl. VAT per link, €69 incl. VAT for 3. A post, a fake profile and a photo are three links. No refund once your request has been filed. We open your case the same day you order.

Frequently asked questions

The post is in a private group. Can it still be reported?

Yes, if a member can see it and send us the link or a screenshot. Meta’s rules apply in private groups too. Private posts do not appear on Google, so in that case only the Meta report matters. We never join groups under false names.

Someone made a fake profile with my photos. What is fastest?

An impersonation report with your ID, filed by the person shown. We prepare it under your mandate and attach the proof. Ask friends not to interact with the fake profile, and warn your contacts that it is not you. Keep screenshots in case the profile is renamed or deleted.

Can you find out who wrote an anonymous post?

No. Meta does not reveal user data to private people on request. Only a court or the police can obtain it. We work on the content: getting it reported, reviewed and, where it stays, delisted from Google. For a court order, consult a lawyer.

Does this work for private messages?

Private messages are not public and do not appear on Google. If someone harasses or threatens you in private messages, block and report the account in the app, keep screenshots and contact the police. We handle public content. Public posts that copy those messages are a different case, and we can report them.
