Flashback threads about you: delisting first

NetClearer handles Flashback threads that name people in Sweden: crime discussions, court cases, addresses and rumours. Flashback rarely deletes threads, so our main route is Google delisting for searches on your name, with a report to the forum where its own rules fit. €29 incl. VAT per link. Google and Flashback decide.

Sweden’s largest forum

Flashback’s motto is “Yttrandefrihet på riktigt” (real freedom of speech). It has about one million users and more than 15,000 posts a day, and with 15.9 million visits a month it was the 14th most visited site in Sweden in October 2025 (Wikipedia, Semrush). Its crime and court sections name suspects, convicted people and sometimes victims and witnesses, often with details from public court files.

For the person named, the thread can be the first Google result for their name for years, long after the case ended.

Why delisting is the realistic route

Flashback is built around free speech and removes little. Getting a whole thread deleted is hard, and we do not promise it. Google is a different matter. Sweden has Google’s highest delisting rate among our countries: 75.7% of requested URLs since 2014, Google’s own figure (Transparency Report). A delisted thread stays on Flashback but no longer appears when someone searches your name on Google in Europe.

For results about criminal cases, we rely on GDPR article 10 and the EU Court’s 2019 ruling C-136/17, which says the current situation (an acquittal, a served sentence) must count. See old conviction and court news.

What we do

  1. You send the thread links, and the Google searches where they appear.
  2. You sign a mandate and send ID. We file a delisting request per thread, the same day you order, explaining why the result is outdated, inaccurate or excessive.
  3. Where a post clearly breaks Flashback’s own rules, for example by publishing a private person’s home address, we report it to the forum.
  4. If the thread copies data from Lexbase or similar sites, we also file requests there: see Lexbase and Krimfup.
  5. We report Google’s answers and file again if new facts appear.

We never post in the thread or create accounts. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

Price

€29 incl. VAT per thread or link, €69 incl. VAT for 3. Threads split over many pages count once if they share one main address. No refund once your request has been filed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you get a Flashback thread deleted?

We cannot promise that, and it rarely happens. Flashback’s model is to keep discussions online. Where a post breaks its own rules, we report it. The realistic goal is Google delisting, so the thread no longer appears in searches for your name.

The thread is about a case where I was acquitted. Does that help?

Yes. Under the EU Court’s ruling C-136/17, search engines must take the current situation into account for results about criminal proceedings. An acquittal is a strong argument. We attach the judgment to the delisting request. We can also ask the publisher of any news article about the case to add an update.

Does delisting work on all search engines?

We file with Google, which handles about 86% of Swedish searches, and with Bing on request. Each search engine decides separately. The thread stays reachable on Flashback itself and through other search terms. Bing requests are filed as an extra link at the same price.

Will people on Flashback notice?

Delisting happens at Google and is not announced on the forum. Users sometimes discuss removal requests in general, which is why we do not post or contact users. We keep the work quiet and in your name only. You decide which threads we file for.
