The Netherlands: KvK copies, fake reviews and old news
Your address is hidden at the KvK, but Drimble, Infobel or TransFirm still show it? NetClearer asks each site to remove it and asks Google to stop showing it. We also handle fake reviews on Google, Trustpilot, Kiyoh and Zorgkaart, old news and outdated insolvency pages. €29 incl. VAT per link, €20 per review.

The Dutch picture in figures
Dutch residents have sent Google 100,755 delisting requests since 2014, and 6,302 in the last 12 months. Google delisted 53.5% of the requested URLs (Google’s own figures since 2014, Transparency Report). Between 2014 and 2019 the Netherlands had the third-highest request rate in Europe (Surfshark).
Google handles 89% of searches. Reddit (68.6% of the population in ad reach) and X (48.7%) are unusually large in the Netherlands, so forum threads and posts often appear in name searches (DataReportal).
Freelancers and the KvK: the main Dutch hook
Since 1 January 2022 the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) hides the home address of business owners, and sole traders (*zzp'ers*, self-employed people) can also hide their business address when it is their home (Staatsblad 2022, 475). Directory sites copied the old data before that date. Dutch consumer television showed that Drimble, Infobel and TransFirm still display many addresses (AVROTROS Radar).
We send a GDPR request to each copy, arguing that the source no longer publishes the address, then ask Google to refresh or delist the pages. Details: company-data sites.
What else we handle in the Netherlands
| Problem | Route | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Fake or extortion reviews on Google | Google Maps policy report and appeal | Google reviews |
| Reviews on Kiyoh or Klantenvertellen | Report to the platform with order data | Kiyoh and Klantenvertellen |
| Reviews about a care provider | Report that respects medical secrecy | Zorgkaart |
| Old bankruptcy or WSNP debt scheme on copy sites | The insolvency register (CIR) hides cases 6 months after the end; copies are outdated | Company-data sites |
| Old news article | Request to the publisher, then the Raad voor de Journalistiek | Old news articles |
| Reddit or X posts about you | Platform report, then Google |
Review extortion: a Dutch warning
In 2025 Dutch media reported scammers who flood a business with fake one-star Google reviews and then ask for money to stop (NOS). Do not pay. Keep the messages, report the scam to the police and send us the review links: see fake review attacks.
Dutch agencies that charge only on success ask between €75 and €495 per review. We charge €20 incl. VAT per request because Google decides, not us. Local guides also warn against agencies that only fill in Google’s free form; we choose the ground, add evidence, appeal and follow up.
Courts, press council and the AP
Amsterdam courts ordered Google to take down fake reviews and share data about their authors in 2016 and 2019. Those were lawyers’ cases; for a court route, consult a lawyer. For old news, the Raad voor de Journalistiek has applied criteria since 1 May 2021 to complaints after a refused anonymisation request. Archives usually prevail, but a grounded reason can justify removal, with extra weight for minors.
The Dutch data protection authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP). If a site ignores a GDPR request, we prepare the complaint; you sign and send it. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
Payment
Prices in euros incl. VAT: €29 per link, €20 per review request. The payment page shows the methods available to you. No refund once your request has been filed. This site is also available in Dutch (Nederlands).
Frequently asked questions
I am a zzp'er and shielded my address at the KvK. Do I need to do anything else?
Yes, if your address was online before. The KvK shielding stops new copies from its register, but sites that copied your data earlier keep it until someone asks. Search your name and address, or let us do it, and ask each site and Google. We handle the requests under your mandate.
Can you help with a review on Google written by a scammer?
Yes. A review from someone who was never a customer, posted as part of a blackmail attempt, is a strong case under Google’s fake engagement rules. We report it with the messages as evidence. Report the blackmail to the police too; we handle the online part.
My WSNP debt scheme ended years ago, but sites still show it. What can I do?
The central insolvency register hides cases 6 months after they end. Sites that still show yours keep outdated data. We ask each site to erase it under the GDPR and ask Google to delist the pages for your name. Results depend on each site.
Is it legal in the Netherlands to use a company like yours?
Yes. In the Netherlands, the lawyers’ monopoly covers court proceedings, not reports to platforms or GDPR requests. Several Dutch agencies sell review reports openly and state that they are not law firms, as we do. We never go to court and never act as your lawyer.
