YouTube videos that show you or talk about you
NetClearer files YouTube privacy complaints and other reports for people shown or named in videos without consent: filmed incidents, reaction videos that reveal private details, re-uploads, impersonating channels and comments that harass. We add EU notices under the Digital Services Act and ask Google to delist what remains. €29 incl. VAT per video. YouTube decides.

The most watched platform in Europe
YouTube reaches more than 80% of the population in the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden, and 71% in Poland, in DataReportal’s 2026 ad audience figures (DataReportal Sweden). Videos also rank in Google’s main results and in the video tab, often for years. A clip of a neighbour dispute, a filmed job interview, a video essay about a local scandal: once it carries your name in the title, it follows your name.
Routes on YouTube
| Situation | Route | Note |
|---|---|---|
| You are recognisable in a video posted without consent | Privacy complaint by the person shown | YouTube may give the uploader time to edit or blur first |
| Your phone, address or ID in a video or description | Privacy complaint | Strong case for private people |
| A channel pretends to be you | Impersonation report | Your ID helps |
| Harassing comments or videos | Harassment policy report | Patterns across videos matter |
| Content that appears illegal in the EU | Notice under DSA art. 16 | Internal complaint after a refusal |
Videos of public figures in their public role, news reports and commentary on public matters usually stay. Copyright notices are only for content you own: we never file a copyright claim to remove a video you do not hold the rights to.
Our steps
- You send the video links and, if useful, the timestamps where you appear or are named.
- You sign a mandate and send ID. YouTube’s privacy process is meant for the person shown, or a representative with their authority.
- We file the privacy complaint or other reports, the same day you order, and an EU notice where the content appears illegal.
- We follow the answers and check whether the uploader edited the video in time.
- We ask Google to delist videos and copies that remain in searches for your name.
YouTube decides. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
Price

Frequently asked questions
The uploader blurred my face after the complaint. Is that the end?
If the edit takes away what identified you, YouTube usually considers the complaint solved. Check the title, description and comments too: your name may still be there. We review the edited video and file again for anything that still identifies you.
Can I use a copyright claim instead? It seems faster.
Only if you own the copyright in the material, for example your own video or photos. Filing a copyright claim for content you do not own is a false notice, and we never do it. A privacy complaint is the right route when the issue is that you are shown or named.
The video is old and has few views. Is it worth it?
If it appears when people search your name, yes. Views do not matter much for Google: an old video with a clear title can stay on the first page of results. A delisting request can help even if YouTube keeps the video.
Do you handle comments too?
Yes, when a comment shares your private details or harasses you. Comments are reported one by one, so send us the link to each comment. We group them in one case and charge per link. Each comment counts as one link, and we tell you the total before you order.
